Services' Wheel Overhaul Program At Sisu Services we feel that we have developed the finest wheel inspection and overhaul program available anywhere. We closely follow the manufacturers' Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), along with the latest technical data available from the manufacturers' engineering departments. When we have your wheel, it will be carefully disassembled, cleaned and degreased. We use no chemical paint stripping agents, but the latest ins Plastic Reclaimable Abrasive Media (PRAM) technology. This method is safe both to the environment, and your wheel. After stripping, your wheel is inspected using the latest in NDT technology. Any defects or corrosion are repaired if possible, and the wheel given a fresh surface treatment (Dow 19 process for magnesium, Alodine for aluminum). Wheel bolts are inspected using Ultrasound (UT). We have found that UT is not only a faster but much more accurate method of inspecting wheel bolts. When painting your wheel, we use only high-quality epoxy primers and polyurethane paints. We do not use combination primer/topcoat at Sisu Services. Your wheel is then reassembled, and inflation checked and balanced where applicable. It then goes to shipping, where it is placed in a custom-sized shipping carton for return to you. Or, if you are in our delivery area, it is delivered to you in a matter of days.
